This demonstrates how the layers of a basic parallax effect responds to the position of the camera. It can be seen in some 2D side-scroller games, but this is built with HTML, Javascript and CSS. It has five layers, depicting a landscape with mountains and a abandoned environment under the clear sky of a distant planet.
